![]() And last but not least, when I use Logi Bolt and Unifying, they're murdering each other all thhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhe time.So this is it, this is the result of Logitech mastery and greatness beaten by bluetooth headphones. My keyboard skips, my mouse stops, it's a peripheral setup fffffffffffffffffffor few hunderd euros and this is a resuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuult. We live in a world ran by morons aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Logitech isn't an exception. Logitech is a retardddddddddddddddddded company, I'll simply write how I write when I have MX Mechanical and MX Master 3S connected aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand am listening to Spotify vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvia bluetooth. Hopefully this wont be a problem once I have the keyboard + options + mouse (HOPEFULLY) WTF is going on.ĪLSO - why can't any of the buttons be customized to switch devices -instead of using the stupid bottom button. I hope Logitech is paying for the returns. ![]() So I just bought MX Keys and MX Master 3 on amazon and will return one of them. I just downloaded Options and it said I had to download Bolt to use - so I did - and Bolt is showing my mouse EVEN THOUGH I DONT HAVE A FUCKING BOLT RECEIVER. I have a MX Master Mouse (number 1 I guess) that I bought in 2021 and everywhere online says that it is NOT compatible with Bolt. However the devices are compatible withįor real. The logitech options and bolt apps are currently only supported for windows and mac devices and are yet to be available on android and android tv. The logi bolt software is mandatory for any logitech bolt supported devices to work with the dongle. The MX master 3s hower does come with the logi bolt receiver in the box. I'm using a very old Logitech H-UD5 4-port USB 2.0 hub at work. Even "advanced" government-owned workstations tend to use basic USB keyboards and mice, 3.5mm wired headphones, etc., because of wireless security risks.Īnyone know if plugging the USB-A Logi Bolt receiver into a USB-A to USB-C adapter or other USB hub will negate the Bolt connection? It seems like it should be fine, but I'm struggling to confirm that. ![]() A lot of Federal office buildings completely prohibit the use of regular wireless bluetooth signals, even on personal or contractor-owned devices, because they are unsecure. government's FIPS security specification for this type of transmission (FIPS = Federal Information Processing Standards). When you're typing no one can intercept the signal and help themselves to read all your keystrokes, nor send their own signals to your receiver when you're not looking. Hope that helps anyone else who got here by Googling something related. I know this thread is old, but surprisingly I don't see the short answer: Logi Bolt is basically an encrypted and better version of the unifying receiver. My current setup is a kvm switch that has a unifying receiver, so when the switch to a different computer, both the keyboard and mouse map tot he new computer. ![]() This will complicate upgrades in the future since I tend to upgrade in increments. But I also notice that the new Mx key mini uses Bolt instead of the unifying receiver, this implies that all new product may end up using the new Bolt. So far the only review I see is on the Register. Back in 2016, I believe Logitech's initial response to the mousejack was to say that they won't fix it, but then public pressure force them to do so, or are they going to just concentrate on security only on Bolt? Does this mean Logitech is getting more serious about security. Will Bolt eventually replace unifying receiver? Do you think whatever keyboard we have now will become obsolete by the new dongle?.They would have to get the enterprise version of their product that has the word "for business" attached to it (ex: Mx Keyboard for business, MX3 master mouse for business). Bolt does not appear to be compatible with the current Logitech product line. It appears that Logitech is positioning Bolt for the enterprise market.I looked it up and it appears to be a next gen version of Logitech unify receiver, but their announcement isn't very clear. Yesterday, I attempted to update my logitech firmware and notice that there is now something call Logi Bolt.
